Boasting the namesake of Europe's beloved international police, New York City based Interpol will release their first record on Chemikal Underground, a UK label.
An unreleased session-take will appear on a compilation CD from the UK based label Fierce Panda.
Going on two-and-a-half years together, the boys have made their rounds long enough to know the line between classic and fad.
Their forthcoming record stands testament with four cuts of solid, emotive, rock-pop. Their shimmery guitars, steady, pulsing rythms and sharp melodies display the beauty and wit more visible in sounds from the UK.
Interpol's gripping stage presence and textured sound have earned the attention of New York's indie elite.
They've played numerous gigs at The Mercury Lounge, Brownies and The Bowery Ballroom and shared a bill with such established acts as Free Heat, And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead and Mogwai. Interpol also keeps a web site of their own at http://InterpolNY.com.
